Inspirational guest speaker: Diane Fingleton
Diane journeyed from an inner-city working class family to become Queensland Chief Magistrate. On the way she worked for the Whitlam Government and stirred the pot in the Queensland legal system. She was wrongly dismissed as Chief Magistrate, was jailed and later exonerated by the High Court in 2005. Diane feels passionate about justice and offers a unique perspective on adversity and bouncing back. Diane retired as a Magistrate in 2010 and recently published her memoirs ‘Nothing to do with Justice’.
