Anex conducted free seminars Victoria-wide on the problematic use of pharmaceuticals in September and October 2011. These seminars were made possible by funding from the Ian Potter Foundation and Department of Health Victoria.
Demand for the project far surpassed our original expectations. The original proposal estimated approximately 300 participants would attend the seminars. Anex received over 550 registered expressions of interests and trained just fewer than 500 participants. Participants included GPs, nurses, paramedics, drug and alcohol workers, mental health workers, youth workers, corrections staff, Drink Drive educators and police.
Presenters:
Dr Malcolm Dobbin – Senior Medical Advisor, Victorian Department of Health
