Australian Drug Policy: harm reduction and ‘new recovery’

New concepts of Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care is a US-born philosophy that has spread to the UK, and is now in the early stages of being promoted in Australia.

Transformation toward new recovery approaches involving community linkages, would require large-scale investments in resources, workforce and institutional development.

Anex has prepared a discussion paper for consultation, titled Australian Drug Policy: harm reduction and ‘new recovery’ – Download it here:
Australian Drug Policy – harm reduction and new recovery – April 2012

We have also proposed a Australian definition of recovery and principles (PDF).

We invite you to read both documents and provide feedback, which will be kept confidential.
