NSP 21 Years of Prevention

Anex celebrated 21 years of Needle & Syringe Programs (NSPs) in Australia at the Illegal Drugs and Mental Health Conference recently. With a contribution of more than $7.7 billion in avoided treatment costs to the Australian community and an average of 1.2 million client contacts per year, NSPs have proven to be an invaluable resource with a strong and worthy future in Australia's health and welfare sectors.

Anex was proud to chronicle the history and highlights of 21 years of NSPs through a series of short documentary interviews. We encourage everyone to take a moment to watch these and use them where possible as a resource to support the ongoing development of NSPs in Australia.
