These video clips are an information resource for injecting drug users, especially heroin users. They aim to explain treatment options for opioid dependence including methodone, buprenorphine, and detoxification as well as the treatment of other drug-related problems and health issues such as dental care, hepatitis, mental health and overdose.
There are 46 video segments and 3 user stories which may be used to gain a better understanding of the doctor-patient relationship and how treatment is perceived by users.
These videos may also be useful for health care professionals or others who work with drug using populations and may also be used as an aid to teaching clinical students. They may also be of interest to family members and carers of drug users, helping them to gain a better understanding of what treatment is, how it works, and how to get the most out of it.
